Arts & Culture Under the Lights – Ontario Culture Days Kickoff

Location: Market Lot & Baggage Building Arts Centre, Marina Park
Date: Thursday, September 19 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Kick off Ontario Culture Days with a vibrant celebration of creativity and community at Marina Park. This free, family-friendly event features:

Drone Light Show – Part 2

Location: Marina Park – Festival Area
Date: Friday, September 19 | 9:30 PM

Back for a second night, the Drone Light Show will light up the sky with stunning aerial displays.

Free shuttle service runs from 6 PM to 11 PM between the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium and the Pagoda.

ThunderCon – Where Fandom Comes to Life

Location: Canadian Lakehead Exhibition Grounds
Dates: Saturday & Sunday, September 20–21

Thunder Bay’s ultimate pop culture convention returns with cosplay, comics, gaming, and sci-fi fun.

Battle of Britain Parade

Location: Lakehead Airman’s Memorial, Thunder Bay International Airport
Date: Sunday, September 21 | Parade begins at 1:00 PM

Join the community in honoring the heroes of the Battle of Britain at this solemn and respectful ceremony.

  • Arrival time: 12:15 PM
  • Parade march-on: 1:00 PM sharp
  • Parking: Free at the airport
  • Refreshments: Provided by Branch 5 Royal Canadian Legion following the parade

This annual event pays tribute to those who served and sacrificed during one of WWII’s most pivotal air battles.
