The partnership between the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra and Thunder Bay Public Library has been renewed for a second year.
The agreement enables selected library members the opportunity to attend Symphony performances for free this fall and winter.
Four sets of tickets for each show in the Masterworks, Pops, Voices and Family series will be available through random drawings of library members who register their names in advance of each performance.
“Last year we saw close to 2,000 people register for the TBSO ticket draws,” says Director of Community Development for Thunder Bay Public Library, Raili Roy. “While we can’t make Symphony shows free for everyone, this initiative makes the opportunity equally available to every resident of Thunder Bay.”
“Many of the people who used Library tickets to see performances told us how much they’d appreciated the opportunity to go, and that they wouldn’t have been able to go otherwise.”
Tickets for most of the 15 performances included in the partnership will be allocated in sets of two, except for the Family Series shows, which will come in sets of 4 to accommodate family groups.
Anyone with a library membership in good standing is eligible to participate.
