A black and white photo with the number 2055 on it

It was a very exciting morning in the studio! We have one of those ‘office / desk calendars’ in the The Bay studio.

It’s my lifeline! Everything is on there (including personal appointments / events). With October 1st here, the excitement was…ripping September off the calendar, and saying hello to OCTOBER.

This brought up a very interesting conversation about my addiction to calendars. I’ve always loved them. We have 3 in my house (including 2 in our kitchen). I even left a post-it note on the counter this morning addressed to my wife and son: “please don’t flip the calendars, I’ll take care of it when I get home from work”.

I asked Google this question today: Is there a name for an addiction to calendars?
ANSWER: “There isn’t a specific recognized term for a formal addiction to calendars, but excessive preoccupation with calendars can be a symptom of underlying neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD, where calendars are used for externalizing information and providing structure, or as a manifestation of obsessive tendencies”.

Oh well. I LOVE CALENDARS – and I’m not afraid to admit it. LOL.
