The CITY OF THUNDER BAY announced artists who’ll be tasked with creating new public artworks. This is all part of the Northcore Streetscape Project.  The Red River Road downtown revitalization project (over $12 million)…has been under construction for almost 2 years.

AND, 2 years ago, there was an “open call to artists” with the goal to create art that was ‘creative’, ‘featured cultural significance’ and ‘a strong connection to the city’.
Keep an eye out for artwork at the corner of Court and Red River; also between Red River and Park, and St. Paul to Cumberland.  The artists names:  Scott Eunson, Shelby Gagnon // Simon Lacey // and Boy Roland.  Congratulations on this huge honour!

All the art should be done in the next couple of months!  Thanks to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund for funding this project.
