A search is underway for a missing person in Antigonish County.

The RCMP says officers and Ground Search and Rescue are in the area of Cape George on Rear Georgeville Road near Bubbling Spring Trail in relation to a missing person search.

In a post on X at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday, the Mounties say to please avoid the area to allow them to do their work.

Police have not provided further details.
