Thanks to Brian who sent in this text to our Text Line. He summed up the Blue Jays season perfectly:

“With the World Series loss for the Blue Jays this season, yes it was devastating. But, in the big picture, when you really start to think about it: the overall excitement, the feeling of positivity in the hopes they could win the World Series was unbelievable. The real true meaning of this series and the team was much bigger.

It was all about uniting a country, from the everyday fan – to the bandwagon fan – to the people that never even heard of baseball or ever watched a game. They were still rooting for the Jays. This team of amazing players are one heck of a bunch. They may not know it, but they boosted the hope and positivity in Canada to a level never seen before…….and I am proud to be a part of it.

Sure they didn’t win, but in the big picture…they really did. They united us, and brought everyone closer together. The TORONTO BLUE JAYS live on for another day, and so do we.
