A heads up about closures at the Mainland Common in Halifax.

The city says the dog parks will be closed for two weeks from Wednesday, November 12 until Friday, November 28.

The closure is to accommodate upgrades to the playing field lights and dog park maintenance.

The fields will also be shut down starting Wednesday, for work on the playing field lights, and that will last for the remainder of the season.
