Thunder Bay Police’s  Intelligence Unit along with the OPP’s Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau picked up drugs, cash and guns as part of Project Waffle yesterday.  Which got me thinking… why did they pick the name “waffle”?  I know they couldn’t call it Project “Get the bad guys off the street”  or Project “Drug Bust”  But why waffle?  Here is one of my silly explanations

Howie then texted in with a better idea suggesting that maybe Waffle is a acronym…  “Acronym for Working Against Evil To Make our City a Safer Place…..I know…… I never was a good speller”

Dave-“it’s because they already used the name donut”
Tessa-“maybe it has to do with the waffle pattern on the bottom of boots and stomping out crime”
