Two people are dead after a fire in a multi-unit residential building in Charlottetown, PEI.
The Charlottetown Fire Department was called to Green Street at around 7 am on Sunday.
Three others were transported to the hospital with undetermined injuries.
There’s no word on their conditions.
Several pets were also impacted, some of them were injured or died in the fire.
Displaced residents are being cared for by the Canadian Red Cross.
The cause and extent of the fire have not yet been determined and remain under investigation by the fire department and Charlottetown Police Services.
