More than 100,000 customers are in the dark this morning after a blanket of heavy wet snow was dumped on the province overnight.
In Bridgewater, more than 17,000 are in the dark,
In Halifax and surrounding areas, there are more than 60,000 without power.
And it will be a snow day for students in several education centres.
That includes all schools in the Halifax education centre, the South Shore, Chignecto, the Tri-Counties and Strait Regional.
In the meantime, if you are heading to work, watch our for closed highways.
Halifax police say several highways are closed becuase of stuck transport trucks.
Police have Highway 118 outbound closed, just past exit 13, due to several large trucks blocking the highway due to inclement weather.
Highway 118 outbound towards Fall River and the Airport is expected to be closed for an extended period of time. Traffic is being diverted to the 107 Highway toward Waverley Road.
