An investigation is ongoing after a man was assaulted by two people at a Dartmouth Mall.
On the evening of January 30, police responded to a report of a man with a knife inside Mic Mac Mall, and once on scene, officers located and arrested him without incident.
That’s when officers learned that the man was actually a victim.
The man had been hit and knocked unconscious for a short period of time. He shared that he saw a man and woman before he was hit, and pulled out his pocketknife in self-defense when he woke up.
Officers say there were no other reports of assaults or injury, and the man was released from custody without charges.
One suspect is described as a white woman with a face tattoo wearing an ankle monitor. Both suspects were seen leaving the mall parking lot in a black car.
