A heavy police presence was seen in downtown Halifax on Wednesday morning after a woman was found dead inside a tent on Barrington Street.

Police say they responded to the report around 2:30 a.m., and that details are few at this time.

Medical examiners are working to determine the cause of death, and officers say they will remain on scene while the investigation continues.
