Halifax police are investigating reports of gunfire in the Beaver Bank area early this morning. Officers were called to the scene around Trinity Lane, where the street remains closed as the investigation continues.

Police are asking residents in the immediate area to stay inside for now and to expect an increased presence of officers while they gather information.
