A few times a week on “Mornings In The Bay”, we bring you a feature that’s quickly becoming a listener favourite — “What’s In The Fridge?”

It’s simple. It’s chaotic. It’s personal. And it’s absolutely hilarious.

The premise? Listeners text in a photo of the inside of their refrigerator for a chance to win $100 in Lotto 6/49 tickets. Danny & John then bring them on‑air, open the fridge door, and dive into a lively, good‑natured breakdown of whatever’s lurking inside. It’s part detective work, part comedy, part therapy session for people who swear they were going to clean their fridge this weekend.

The Magic of Everyday Life

There’s something universally fascinating about peeking into someone else’s fridge. It’s a snapshot of real life — the leftovers, the condiments, the produce that’s thriving, and the produce that’s… trying its best.

Danny & John lean into that curiosity with the perfect mix of humour and warmth. Sometimes judging; and sometimes celebrating the quirks. A half‑used jar of pickles becomes a personality trait. A forgotten container in the back becomes a mystery novel. A fridge full of sauces becomes a lifestyle choice.

This Morning’s Winner: Michelle

Today’s winning pic came from Michelle, who sent in a fridge photo that instantly grabbed the guys’ attention. It was the kind of fridge that tells a story — organized but lived‑in, stocked but not staged, full of the everyday essentials that keep a household humming.

Danny & John dove right in.

Michelle’s reaction:  she was game, she was funny, and embraced all of it. And for her bravery in letting Thunder Bay peek into her cold storage, she walked away with $100 in Lotto 6/49 tickets. Not a bad payoff for opening the fridge door.
