What started as a heartbreaking loss for a woman in Pennsylvania has turned into one of the most unlikely feel‑good reunions you’ll hear all week.

Cindy Ware was devastated after the diamond from her ring — a family heirloom from her late husband’s side — suddenly was gone. She had no idea where it was.

Fast‑forward a few months…..AND, this is where it gets crazy:  her neighbor, Coleman, was on vacation in Florida when he noticed something stuck in the sole of his water shoe. He figured it was a piece of glass, maybe a fake gem. But a jeweler took one look and said, “No — that’s a real diamond from the 50s or 60s.”

Coleman posted a photo on Facebook, joking about what he found. Within minutes, a friend back home recognized it as Cindy’s missing stone.

A couple of weeks ago, the mystery was solved. Cindy believes it fell out during a pool exercise class, and Coleman — who vacation’s at the same place and uses the same pool — must have stepped on it at just the right angle. That diamond stayed wedged in his shoe all the way to Florida and back.
