About 6,000 Nova Scotia Power customers in Bedford are without power Thursday morning.

Halifax Regional Police say there was an accident in the 300 block of the Bedford Highway.

Traffic is backing up in the area due to downed power lines.

NS Power says the estimated restoration time is 7:30 a.m.
