A busy morning for Saint John firefighters.

The fire broke out in a building on St. John Street on the Lower West side.

According to a social media post, firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames inside a large three-storey apartment building.

All of the residents were evacuated safely.

No further details have been released at this point.
