A 36-year-old from Red Rock has been arrested in connection with a fatal crash that happened near Thunder Bay.

Police said the crash took place in December 2023 on Highway 11/17 near Mirror Lake in Shuniah Township.

The accused was wanted on an outstanding warrant and is now facing the following Criminal Code charges:

• Dangerous operation causing death
• Operation causing death
• Operation while impaired — alcohol and drugs

Authorities added that the person is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on July 7.
