Yarmouth’s art gallery is closed for good.

The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia confirmed they will not re-open the building on Main Street, as they look to create a more sustainable funding model.

The group says the cost of operating the satellite branch is high, and that money can be better used to enhance art programming for all Nova Scotians.

The province owns the building, the Visitor Information Centre will remain in that location and open in a few weeks.
