Seafood is the focus, as hundreds of businesses from Atlantic Canada visit Boston, Massachusetts for North America’s largest seafood exposition.

Seafood Expo North America began March 9 and runs until March 13.

Global fish and seafood exports from Atlantic Canada topped $5.7 billion last year.  65 per cent were destined for the United States.

Seafood is one of Atlantic Canada’s most important sectors and companies are attending the exposition to drum up even more business.

The seafood sector employs nearly 24, 000 people in communities across the four Atlantic provinces.
