Thunder Bay Fire got a call about a fire in basement.

Close to 6am on Tuesday morning, July 26, a residence on Simcoe St. made the call about a fire in the basement.

Crews entered the home to find a fire in the basement where it was quickly put out.

All occupants were able to evacuate safely with no injuries to be reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
