“The fan base in Hearst is just amazing,” Bazaluk told Acadia News Wednesday. “It’s a small town so everyone comes out and supports the team which is really awesome. I’m looking forward to see how the crowd will be in games three and four in our building. It will be exciting.”

Bazaluk became a member of the Lumberjacks after being traded from the Notre Dame Hounds of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) in October 2020.

Bazaluk also graduated from the Thunder Bay Kings program in 2020, noting it was a great experience with outstanding coaches and teammates.

Game Three in the best of seven series happens Thursday night.

The league winner will take part in the Centennial Cup, which begins Thursday, May 19th in Estevan, Saskatchewan.
