A legendary Nova Scotia broadcaster has died.

Frank Cameron was 85 years old.

From New Glasgow to Halifax, Cameron’s 60-year career included work as a DJ, host, reporter, news anchor and weather presenter at private radio stations and for the CBC on radio and television.

He wrote about his longtime broadcasting career in his 2015 memoir , I Owe It All To Rock & Roll.

Since 2005, Cameron hosted a show on a community radio station in Eastern Passage, until his retirement late last year.
