A 71-year-old Cambridge man was arrested after Kings District RCMP began investigating a report of sexual assault involving a child.
Officers arrested the man on April 7th where he was charged with 14 offences including Sexual Assault (4 counts), Sexual Interference (4 counts), and Uttering Threats (2 counts).
As the investigation unfolded, several more individuals came forward about assaults by the same man taking place between the 1970’s and 2026. Police say though some victims are now adults, all were under 18 when the assaults happened.
RCMP investigators say they are committed to seeking justice, regardless of how much time has passed, and that they believe there may be more survivors out there.
The man had his first court appearance on April 10th at Kentville Provincial Court and was released on conditions while he waits for future court appearances.
