Saint John police are asking for help to locate a convicted armed robber wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
Dylan McNamara, 26, is wanted for breaching the conditions of his statutory release, according to police.
He allegedly failed to return to the community correctional centre in Saint John as directed.
McNamara is serving a sentence of more than 51 months for the following convictions:
- armed robbery
- disguise with intent
- possessing property obtained by crime over $5,000
- possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- uttering threats to cause death/harm
- assaulting a peace officer
- escaping or being at large without excuse (x2)
- assault with a weapon
- theft under $5,000
- obstructing a public/peace officer
“Police are warning the public to not approach the suspect,” Saint John police said in a news release on Friday.
McNamara is described as six-foot-three, weighing 187 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a “distinctive” scar on his left cheek and neck, said police.
