The Westfort neighbourhood is showing its support for the family of a 16-year-old boy who was killed in an assault June 29th.

The Facebook group In Loving Memory of Kody Furioso is asking you to take part in a candlelight vigil Saturday night at 10 o’clock.

To participate, organizers say anyone in or outside of Thunder Bay can light a candle at the end of your driveway instead of gathering in groups.

A fundraiser for his family to cover funeral expenses has also raised $14,745 out of its $10,000 goal.

The incident that happened early June 29th also severely injured a 17-year-old boy.

31-year-old Dustin Denis Moffat has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
