The active case count is plummeting to 14 COVID-19 patients in the District.

The Health Unit is reporting two new cases, with one person in the Thunder Bay area and the other in an outlying community.

However, further testing has confirmed four people with the virus have a variant of concern.

Another eleven people are no longer testing positive.

Anyone who received their first dose of an mRNA vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) on or before May 9th is now eligible to book an appointment for an earlier second dose.
