CMA Awards nominations came out last and there were a few surprises. Lainey Wilson leads the way with six nominations, but Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Blake Shelton got zippo.
Miranda Lambert made history with her three nominations, including Album of the Year (Palomino), Entertainer of the Year, and Female Vocalist of the Year. She has racked up a total of 61 career nominations—making her the most nominated female artist in CMA Awards history.
The 2022 CMA Awards are scheduled for Nov. 9 on ABC. Nominees and performers will be announced in the coming weeks. Luke Combs and NFL quarterback Peyton Manning were previously announced as hosts of the 2022 CMA Awards.
