If you are thinking about starting a community garden this spring, the city says you can now apply.

Community gardens are operated by residents on land owned by the municipality.

They must have a common area with shared upkeep and can include vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers and plants.

The city says you must be a non-profit group and apply by March 30.
