If you’re driving to Prince Edward Island be prepared for possible restricted crossings on Easter weekend.

The Confederation Bridge linking PEI and New Brunswick has issued an advisory.

It states that the site-specific weather forecast from Rowan Williams Davies and Irwin Weather Services indicates wind conditions may result in restrictions of bridge traffic from  7:00 a.m. Sunday until about 12:00 a.m. Monday.

According to the bridge’s website,  restrictions may be enforced when steady winds recorded at the span exceed 70 km/h with gusts consistently exceeding 85 km/h.

“Restrictions during these times usually only apply to high-sided vehicles, motorcycles, and vehicles with objects in tow.”
