It’s convocation day for more than 200 graduates from the Nova Scotia Community College Strait Area Campus.
The 5 p.m. event on Thursday at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre is one of 21 across the province to mark the achievements of over 4,000 NSCC grads.
Le-Antonio Stephenson, a graduate of the Power Engineering Technology diploma program, has been chosen as the Strait Area Campus valedictorian.
Additional awards recognizing student achievement and success will also be presented:
- Board of Governors’ Award: Brittney Gurney Electrical – Industrial Maintenance and Controls Diploma
- NSCC Gold Medal Award: Sandi Rapp
