A crash has shut down a section of Highway 7 near Lochaber, just outside Antigonish.

The closure affects both directions near the 900 block, RCMP said in a social media post on Saturday.

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and expect delays while they investigate the scene.

There’s no word yet on injuries or how long the road will be closed for. RCMP have not released further details.
