A section of Highway 105 in Cape Breton is closed in both directions due to a crash.

Few details are known, but it happened Wednesday evening near Whycocomagh Mountain Road.

The road will be shut down for several hours as investigators look over the scene.

A detour is in place by taking the Little Narrows Ferry onto Route 223; then onto Portage Road to Orangedale Road, and then to Highway 105.

RCMP say drivers can expect delays.
