The issue appeared to be impacting Moneris, one of North America’s largest credit and debit card processing companies.

Moneris’ website is currently unavailable and its phone lines also appear to be down.

As of 2:30 p.m. Atlantic Time, some businesses reported that their systems were starting to come back online.
