Two people have been sent to hospital after a house fire in Dartmouth, according to multiple reports.

A spokesperson from the Halifax Fire Department says the home was fully engulfed when they arrived 1 p.m., but it is now under control

There is no risk to the surrounding community as crews remain on scene.

According to a video posted on social media from the Halifax Professional Fire Fighters Union it was on Thompson Street with smoke scene from Dartmouth Cove.No details on any injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
