There’s moderate damage after a detached garage fire in Dieppe.

Platoon Chief Denis Roberge says it was reported on Juniper Crescent just after 6 pm on Sunday night.

“Some neighbours had seen flames from the back of the back of a residential garage. Crews quickly extinguished it minimized the damage and prevented to spread to any other buildings.”

Roberge says the damage was primarily to the siding and roof of the garage.

Firefighters were on scene for just over an hour.

No word on a cause yet.
