Diesel prices spiked across New Brunswick after the provincial regulator used the interrupter clause.
The new maximum price is $1.50 per litre, an increase of just over seven cents.
Tuesday’s increase followed a 2.5-cent jump during the regular weekly setting early Friday.
Gasoline prices were not impacted by the interrupter clause on Tuesday.
Regular self-serve is selling for a maximum of $1.42 per litre.
Meanwhile, Nova Scotia’s provincial regulator also used the interrupter clause overnight.
Diesel prices jumped by just under seven cents and now range from $1.46 to $1.51 per litre.
