We had a little chat this morning about letting your kids win at board games and sports, these were my thoughts with my two sons…
A few folks texted in with what they do with their little ones
Tanya-“Haha good morning I was laughing listening to your story.. I too kick my sons ass at basketball ball 21 hahaha And he is 12 lol”
Sean-“With the boys I could get away with winning games… now and then. They would except it but be upset. With my daughter there is no winning when I win! We play foosball and cards or tag even. But if she loses there will be no more fun for anyone ever! The possession of Satan begins, the eyes glow red, the fist clinch, every step is a stomp and every closed door is a slam. Screaming. Yelling. Emotional damage! She will even draw pictures and post signs around the house especially around her bedroom about how she feels about you and the total nonsense of losing a game. She’s nine by the way. This sort of behavior has been happening since she’s five. She has two older brothers that are OK with beating her and even thinks it’s a little funny to see her destroy anything in her path.”
Clint-“Sean’s daughter sounds like my mother in law when I show up for dinner lol”
