It was quite a journey but Pepper made it. The 10-year-old German shepherd made the trip over ice and tundra in Nunavut to reunite with her family, after being reported lost. The Adams family made a trip on snowmobile to attend a family funeral in Whale Cove, about 70 kilometres away from their home in Rankin Inlet, and Pepper had followed them until she was convinced by Donna Adams to go home, but apparently the dog had made the trip there as well to track down the family.

The family found out she was missing a few days later and thought they had lost her for good. Pepper had travelled back 70 kilometres where she reunited with Donna, who burst into tears after finding her in Rankin Inlet. A happy ending. More on the story here.
