Someone associated with Ecole Elsie MacGill Public School has tested positive for COVID-19.

Using updated guidance, officials with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit are looking to identify those who would be considered a contact. Those individuals (parents, students, teachers, staff or visitors) will be contacted by a public health professional.

This is the only active case within the Lakehead Public School Board while there are 23 active cases in the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board.
