It’s election season in Thunder Bay.

City Clerk and Returning Officer Krista Power officially launched the campaign Friday with election day set for Monday, October 24th.

In a statement, Power said preparations continue at City Hall which will include some new options for voters.

The election website is live and will be updated as new information becomes available.

So far, Bill Mauro has announced he’ll file the papers to run again for mayor while Lori Paras plans to run for the McKellar Ward seat.

Nomination papers can be filed on Monday, May 2nd with the deadline set for Friday, August 19th at 2:00 p.m.

The four-year council term of office will begin on November 15, 2022.
