Police are looking for a 52-year-old man believed to be carrying a shotgun after an incident at a motel in Brookfield.

RCMP sent out an emergency alert on Sunday night regarding the search for Darren Trevor Jackson.

He is described as 5’10, about 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say a woman was injured at a motel on Highway 2 in Brookfield, but did not provide other details.

The alert is asking people in Colchester and surrounding counties to dial 9-1-1 if they notice anything suspicious and to not pick up hitchhikers.
