Things were quiet overnight as a forest fire continues to burn near Musquodoboit Harbour.

According to Halifax councillor David Hendsbee, DNR were back at the site in Ostrea Lake at 7 a.m. Monday.

Two tankers and three drones were requested from Halifax firefighters.

Five people registered at the comfort centre at the Eastern Shore Community Centre before 10 p.m. Sunday.

About 30 houses are still under an evacuation order, around 100 homes were evacuated Sunday night.

The fire had shrunk to 30 hectares as of last night, it was as high at 40 hectares.

Hendsbee asks that people avoid the area and let the firefighters and RCMP do their job without interference.
