A tough night for Saint John Firefighters, as they battled a blaze on Thorne Avenue in bitter cold temperatures and high winds.

There are few details at this point, but it appears to be a warehouse fire.

Firefighters remained on scene as of 5:30 Tuesday morning.

Plumes of smoke could be seen from a distance away.

It’s believed firefighters arrived on scene sometime after midnight.
