A Waterloo man faces a charge of identity fraud with intent.
He is accused of defrauding people across the province out of more than $927,000.
Police were called to the Royal Bank of Canada Branch on Alloy drive Tuesday about a man trying to make a withdrawal using suspected fraudulent identification.
He was in an argument when police arrived, and then attempted to escape. The officer was able to prevent this and arrest the man after a brief struggle.
Police, with help from an RBC investigator, connected the individual to other frauds that occurred across Ontario.
The investigation continues.
