A messy start to the week for the province.
Freezing rain warnings are in effect, with mainland Nova Scotia expected to get four to six hours of it through Monday morning and afternoon.
The freezing rain is starting in the morning over western Nova Scotia, and will reach Cape Breton by Monday evening.
Rainfall warnings are also in place for Yarmouth to Guysborough counties.
Up to 25-40 millimetres of rain is expected Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning.
Northern Inverness County also has a Les Suêtes Wind warning in effect, gusts could reach 140 kilometres an hour.
