News from the entertainment world that comedian Gilbert Gottfried has died at age 67. His family released this statement on Twitter.

Gottfried was known worldwide for his unique brand of comedy and his iconic voice for some of the best known animated characters, like Iago the parrot in the movie Aladdin and as the Aflac duck. He starred in various films and was a member of Saturday Night Live in 1980, and his own TV series. Jason Alexander inadvertently posted his condolences prior to the family announcement.
