The city of Halifax is issuing a warning after young people were riding on the outside of transit buses and recording it for social media.
In a statement the city says, “no amount of likes is worth your life”.
In an email to our newsroom, Public Affairs Advisor for HRM Brynn Budden says they have been made aware of “several potential incidents” in recent weeks where this has happened.
“It’s extremely dangerous, for the person involved, as well as passengers and others on the road,” says Brynn.
It is unclear how many individuals were involved as well as where or when the incidents happened.
Brynn says it can lead to a fine of up to $10,000.
