A high school in the Lacewood area has lifted its security measures due to an incident in the community.

Halifax West was placed under a hold and secure while police investigated a matter nearby.

An update just before 1 p.m. indicates it’s back to normal at the school.

The Halifax Regional Centre for Education called it a precautionary measure.

Police have yet to confirm the incident they were investigating.
