You might have been celebrating “all things spooky” since we flipped the calendar to October.  AND…today’s the day!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Do you know someone who really isn’t a fan of Halloween?  Maybe you.  So…let’s try and find some positive things about today.

Halloween gives you a fun and safe way to face your fears.  It’s creative expression through costumes and decorations

How about a sense of community through things like ‘trick or treating’ and parties.

It’s a great outlet for your imagination.  Step outside your everyday life for one night.

It brings neighbours together.

It supports local businesses with parties!

Fun fact: think about the actual concept of “trick or treating”.  Going from home to home and sometimes asking strangers for candy.  TRICK OR TREATING came from a tradition called “souling”. It can be traced back to the Middle Ages where people dressed up in costumes to repel the spirits that walked the Earth.
